It’s a question I am always asked when someone hears that I am a chef.

How do you narrow down all the most delicious foods in the world into just one? So instead, why not ask the question: “What is it about cooking that you love?”

After all the planning, shopping, prepping, and cooking - it is finally showtime. The guests have arrived, drinks are being enjoyed, voices crescendo as I start sending out food to the table. Then the voices soften.

When I get to send out that last plate, I like to take a moment to sneak out of the kitchen and watch as people take their first bites. That is the realest yelp review you will ever get. When the hush falls over the table and you see the guests smiling and laughing with mouths full - that’s what makes me love cooking.
